This is System Integrity Protection introduced in El CapitanDocumentation is in from AppleBasically any Apple supplied OS X executables are protected. I haven't been able to find this change documented in man pages or online. Under 10.11.1, bash seems to ignore attempts to set this environment variable: $ sh -x testscript.sh+ DYLDFALLBACKLIBRARYPATH=/Users/something/testinglibs+ export DYLDFALLBACKLIBRARYPATH+ exec printenvand DYLDFALLBACKLIBRARYPATH is not present in printenv's output. Is this a security-related hack in 10.11's shell? AppData folder by default is hidden in Windows.

Place libvlc.dll in VLC installation folder. Normally:
C:Program FilesVideoLANVLC
or
C:Program Files (x86)VideoLANVLC
If you have 64bit Windows version and VLC is installed in C:Program Files (x86)VideoLANVLC, download 32bit version of libvlc.dll. And if VLC is installed in C:Program FilesVideoLANVLC, download 64bit version of libvlc.dll.

In case the above website becomes unavailable you can download 32bit Windows version of both files from here.
